Purpose and Goal

This module focusses on a one-page tool that quickly communicates that great idea you have that you know will improve your business or workplace, but the proposal hasn’t been getting the traction you think it deserves.

What I’ve found is that in their crazy busy days, our managers, supervisors or clients need some things very clearly and efficiently laid out so that all they need to do is read it once or twice to easily understand it.

The goal is to take the work of digesting the project off of their plate, so that the easy thing for them to do is just say yes, approve it and delegate it (ideally to you).

So the aim is to help provide a simple structure to gather your thoughts, process them through a basic net present value tool and communicate them efficiently in a memo format that will lock in your pitch.

It's important to understand that when your customer says yes, they are going to need to communicate that up to their management, so this tool makes it easy for them to pass this on as well.

We have three sections:

Section 1, we have the introduction to the tools:
We’ll introduce the concept of an elevator speech, the idea of those key pieces of information that you want to include in that communication.

Section 2, we’ll show you what good looks like.
So we’ll show you the end result, what it looks like and how simple it really is.
At the end of the day it has to be simple and very brief so that your idea gets across quickly and effectively.

Section 3, we’ll walk you through a few examples.
We’ll show you right from the start, how to use the net present value tool, how to use it in different applications, because each project has a bit of its own approach, and how to wrap all of that up into the memo.

So if you’re ready, let’s get started.
